OAKGROVE is by Irvington, dam Lady Sylvia, one of the most celebrated trottimr horses in Amerioa, and comes from a diatinguished strain. Irvington was sired by ByHdyk's Hambletonian, by Abdullah, first dam by Imogone, by Seeley'a American Star, OAKGSQVE is a beautiful bay, five years old, and stands seventeen hands high, ot immense power, grand . bone, combining apeed with streugth, and is adapted to get first class weight carrying hacks and coaehers. His full brothers on the American track have hardly ever been beaten, their recorded time in harness per mile being 2min .28secs, An Irvington two-year-old was sold recently to Mr Rothschild for 5000 dollars. OAKGROYE, with his sire Irvington and his brother Corbitt, was imported in Sept., 1888, by Mr John Kerr, the welt known Nelson breeder, and be is now admitted to be one of the grandest specimens of the fast American Trotter that has ever been introduced to a British colony.
