WEST COAST STOCK REPORT.
STEVENS AND GORTON. ' At our Bulls sale on the 18th insfc., we yarded about 160 head of cattle and 700 sheep and at Fielding on the 25tt 150 head of cattle and 250 sheep. The attendance at Bulls was small and the bidding dull, but most of .tho. stock was quitted after the sale at the following prices:—2 year steers £2 12s 6d; 3 years steers £3 14 6d forward bullocks £5; yearling steers £2 10s; Milch cows, £2 7s 6d to £4 ewes and lambs, lis 3d; Merino rams £2 2s. The Merino rams importec from Canterbury were of splendid quality and showed grand fleeces o wool. The,balance of those unsole will be shorn and put up at the ran fair in February next. The biddinj at Feilding was fairly brisk, especiall; for good steers which we sold a follows:—2 to 3 years steers £2 17 6d ; 3 years steers in forward cor dition £3 17s'6d ;"mixed yearlings, £ 17s 6d; weaners, £1 2s 6d; mile cows, £2 10s to M\ fat bullock passed in at £7 ; fat sheep mixed, 9s ; fat lambs 4s 8d to 4s lid; store pig are absolutely unobtainable and price in consequence are abnormally h'gh.
