RULES AND REGULATIONS.. . . To be run under the Masterton and Opaki Jockey Club Rules, The Saddling Bell "will ring at 12 each day, and the first race start at 12.30 o'clock. The time for starting each event will be duly posted on the course after each preceding race. Haok raoes are open to horses that have never won an advertised race other than haok races', or that have not run for an advertised race for six months previous to date of meoting. The District Race iB open to all horses owned in the district, at least six months previous to this race meoting. In case'of a protest tho same must ho lodged with the Secretary within 15 minutes after the'race has been run, with a deposit of £2, such deposit to be forfeited if tho protest be found trivial or vexatious. The winnor of the 8 Btone Hack Race will not be allowed to run for the one on the second day, No' scratching of horses allowed, unloas through the Secretary, and 15 minutes before the time of starting. All entries to he made on the Club's print ed forms, entrauce money enclosed, with name, age at the time of entry, and pedigree of tho horse, name of owner, and colors of rider. Entry .forms supplied by the Secretary on application. In all nominations for handioaps the previous performances are to be given. No entry will be accepted unless accompany w.ih amount of entrance moneA nor wifl an enny be received after tne how named, under a u y pretence whatever. Any jockey riding ex ept in the colors entered will be fined-2 sovs. The amount for second and thirdhorse will he deducted from the advertised amount of stakes, Weights for Tradesmans Handicap and Distrxt Handicap will be declared at the Club Hotel at 8 o'clock -on the evening of the first day's races. Acceptances for eame will-close samo evening Nominations for Consolation Handicap to be made to the Secretary 15 minutes after the District Handioap is run. Weights will be declared 15 minutes after the nominations have closed ; acceptances will olose 15 minutes after the weights have been declared, Horses walking over will receive 50 pel cent only of the stakes, NOMINATIONS.
