ALFREDTON ROAD BOARD.

Mr T. P. Gird wood's offer of- $lB for clearing the slips from the District, road was accepted, the work to be, performed according to Mr Bremner's specifications. A communication was received from the County Council, asking an expression of opinion as to the advisability or otherwise of haying what is known as the "Castle Hill Route" placad on the schedule of main roads in this County.

4j'ter some discussion the following resolution was passed unanimously, and various reasons were given in support of it, which were to accompany the resolution, That the members of this Board were of opinion that the Tiratimeia is decidedly the beat route for the Eketah una-Tinui main road.

A sum of X'l for expenses of conference was passed for. payment.
