On the'motion that Messrs Larnach, Wilson, and Burt be re-elected, Mr Shrimski said it was useless to move an amendment as the directors had sufficient proxies with them to cany the motion; next, yoar, with a view of. getting an' alteration, he would get possession of some proxies, The resolution was carried. New Plymouth, November 19. Sir John Hall accompanied by Mr Partis and Mr Fenwick, of the Otago Daily Times, left for the South this morning, driving round the coast by way of Parihaka and Opunake., Sir John Hall goes that way in older that he might see how the country has been settled since To Whiti was deposed. A further fall has occurred in the breadstuffs' market. Adelaide wheat, ex store, has declined to 35s 6d, and Adelaide flour to 23s 6d. New Zealand wheat is unchanged, The catalogue at to-day's wool auction compiised 9100 bales, Prices are firmly maintained for good qualities generally, interior and faulty wools are rather lower. ~
The cargo of frozen mutton, ex Liguria, has arrived in excellent condition, and is selling at s|d. Brandies are quoted at 12s IOJd per gallon. The P. and 0, steamship Rome, from Melbourne (September 23), arrived at Plymouth to-day,
