The price tendered must be stated in writing as well as in figures, accompanied by a statutory declaration, together with six months' rent at the rate tendered, and a fee of £i 10s fur lease aud registration, to be lodged with the Commissioner of Crown Lands, at the Crown Lands office Wellington, not later than 4 o'clock p m, on Wednesday, the 10th December, 1884The tenders will be opened at the meeting of the Laud Board on Thursday, the 11th December (the following day,) at 10 o'clock a.m,, when tho highest tenderer, if the tender shall equal or oxcced the upset animal rental per acre fixed by the Duard, will be declared the lessee. The tenderers must appear at the Land Board, either in person or by an agent authorized in wriiing, on the day on which the tenders are opened. Plans and scheduk-s of the sections, and cupies of the regulations under which lcasea will be sold and issuod, also forms of tender and declaration respectively, can be obtained at the District Land Office, Wellington ; at any of the other Und Offices in the colony; and may also Offices in the Wellington Provincial Dlß'llCt.

The whole of the secii-ns are covored with forest, the principal trees being tawn, rimti, hinau, rata, kahikaiea,witlUotara in places; the undergrowth is, as a mlo, heavy; the general character of the soil is good,-and in some places is of first-class quality, the formation being, limestone, clay, marl, sandstone, &c.
