RULES AND REGULATIONS.
To be. run under tlio Masterton and Opaki Jodtey Club Rules. The Saddling Bell wi'l ring at 12 each day, and the first race start at 12.30 o'clock. The lime for starting each event will bo duly posted on the course after each preceding race. Hack races are open to horseß that havenever won an advertised ratio other than hack races, or that have not run for an advertised race for six months previous to date of meeting. The District Race is open to all horßes owned in the district at least six months previous to this race meeting. In case of a proteßt the same must be lodged with the Secretary witliiu 15 minuteß after the race has been run, with a' deposit of £2, such deposit to be forfeited .if the protest be found trivial or vexatious. The winnar of the 8 stone flack Race will not be allowed to run for the ono on the Becond day, No scratching of horses allowed, unless through the Secretary, and 15 ■ minutes before the time -of starting, All entries to be made on the Club's print ed forms, entrance money enclosed, with name, age at the time of entry, and pedigree of the boiao, name of owaor, and colors of rider. Entry forms supplied by the Secretary on application.' lii all nominations for handicaps the previous performancesjare to be given, • No entry will be accepted unless accompani wah amount of entrance mone,( nor wifl any enny be received after tne houi named, under a y preteuce whatever. Any jockey riding excopt in the colors entered will be fined 2 so?s. The amount for second and third horse will be deducted from the advertised amount of stakes, Weights for Tradesmans Handicap and Distr'ct Handicap will bs declared at the Club Hotel at 8 o'clock on the evening of the first day's races, Acceptances for same will close samo evening Nominations for Consolation Handicap to be mode to tlio Secretary 15 minutes after the District Handicap is run. Weights will be declared 15 minutes after the nominations have closed ; acceptances will close 15 minutes after the weights have been declared, Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent only of the stakes.
