Hack races are open to horses thathavenever won an advertised race other than hack races, or that have not run lor ail advertised race for six months previous to dato of meeting. The District, Race is open to all horses owned in (lie district at least six months previous to this race ir.eeting. In case of a protest the same must be lodged with the Secretary within 15 minutes after Iho race lias been run, with a deposit of £2, such deposit to lie forfeited if the protest be found trivial or vexatious. The winnor of the 8 stone Hack Race will not he allowed to run for the one on the second day, No scratching of horses allowed, unions through the Secietary, and 15 minutes before the time of starting. Weights will be declared 15 minutes after the nominations have closed ; acceptances will close 15 minutes after the weights have been declared, Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent only of the stakes.
