Maßterton wanta a Mayor for the ensuing year but it is diicult io obtun one. Mr Gapper and Mr Caselberg have been solicited to come forward hut as yet neither of them have agreed to be nominated. We trust that the office after being so ably filled in past years will not be allowed to go "begging." Yesterday, Mr Eichard McKeuzie, of Masterton, who has been serving in tho ranks of tho Salvation Army for some months past, was joined in wedlock to his superior officer Sergeant Kate Lee, The wedding was celebrated by the Kev. Mr Fulton in the forenoon at the bride's residence (Air George Duncan's, Bemly Street,') and the happy pair left by the mid-day train for Wellington, en route for Auckland, where they intend spend. in« their honeymoon.
