A public meeting, under tho auspices of the Wairarapa County Settlers' Association, will le held in tlio Theatre Royal this evening to consider the advisability of sending a deputation to Government to urge a satisfactory fload and Settlement Policy, in connection with the local Government. We remind our Maatevton ftienda of the service of song entitled Jessica's first prayer, which is to be given to-morrow afternoon in the Theatre Royal. It has already bean rendered twice to largo audiences iu this town, but it will undoubtedly prove more attractive and effective in a lame building like the Theatre Koyal.
