Report on our cricketers, by oiuvi special medical man:—Murdoch's still very bad and inflamed. Must, keep to the shade for some time to come, Bats on orutches,—Bonnor's head healing fast, chin hones knitting well. Allowed a spring mattress to field on Blackham's arm will be out of splints in a fortnight, and his breastbone is fast regaining its normal shape. Finger nails growing fast.—Midwinter's nose still in Plaster of Paris mould, Leg doing well, beginning to pick up flesh.—Spoffortli's arm going on grandly; both legs doing we)l too. Sack getting on famously, Head, nearly well. Has to be propp&HHp still to bowl.—Boyle comes out oTnie hospital in the morning to play and goes back at night. Still in great agony but puts a lot of devil into his bowling.—Palmer has taken his head put of the sling, and feels bolter, now. His artificial limbs fit him wonderfully v well, He takes his left arm oft' whenflr he goes in to hat.—The gup in ScottV head is healing up, and his new set of (teeth have come home, and also, his glass eye and artificial nose.—Bannerman's moustache is growing, again, and his new arm with the hook-at-the end of if, gives, him the-appearance;of a cricketing Captain Cuttle,—The rest of the team are at present.reclining on air beds in St, Bartholomew's Hospital, with a coroner and jury in attendance, ready for any emergenoy.
