Passengers can bo booked at Stations only on condition that there is room in the Train. Children under three years of age travel free; above three and under twelve yeavß of age, half-price. Horses, Carriages, &c.-The Railway De partment does not undertake to forward Horses and Carriages by any particular Train, but when sent they must be at the forwarding station li alf-an-hour before the des parture of the Train. The ownerß of horses must provide means for nocuriog thorn in the horsebox, and the Railway Dojjartment will not be accountable for any injury sustained through their breaking loose or otherwise, nor will it undertake to carry unbroken or vicious Horses. At Country Stations requisitions forhorae boxes or carriages trucks must be made the day before thiy are wantod, Dogs must be provided with chains, or other sufficient meaus of securing them. They will not be allowed in carriages, and the owner must obtain a ticket, to be given up before the end of the journey, before the dog is delivered, Return or Periodical Tickets will uot be available for Special or Excursion Trains, except the Ordinary Time Table is suspen ded Parcels and Goods for Pipitea, Kaiwarra, Ngahauranga, 'Belmont, Hayward's, Silver Stream, Wallaceville, Summit, Cross' Creek, Pigeon Bush, Fernßide, Woodside, and at Flag Stations, must he Prepaid, and will be put out on the platforms of those Stations at the risk of the Consignee. Special Notice-To ensure despatch, Parcels, Extra Luggage, and Dogs mußt be at the Station at least Thirty Minuteß before adwrtised time of departure of Train. The Railway Department does not pledge itself to the despatch or arrival of the Trains at the exact times notified in the above Tableß, and in the event of any ciraumstances arising either during or prior to the journey being made which may render it unpoßgble or inexpedient for a Train to proceed, will return the Fares paid, hut does not undertake to forward the passengers. Luegage.—Each passenger is allowed to take 1121bs of personal luggagefree (not ineluding merchandise of any kind), and for every 561bs above thiß weight, for every 5n miles or fraction of 50 miles, the oharge will he One Shilling. No luggage will be allowed to be taken into the carriages, unless of each a Bize that it can be placed under the seat without inconvenience to other passengers. PassengTs are Btrongly recommended to have their Names and the station to which the/ are proceeding distinctly marked on their Luggage, and to satisfy themselves that it is placed on the Train, as the railway Department will not be responsible unless it is booked and paid for. Parcels and Goods—From the above Sta tions can be made" To Pay" at Wellington Petoni, Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt, Kaitoke Feathorston, Greytown, Carterton, and Maß lerton.
