The adjourned annual meeting of the Muaterton Opaki Jockey Club was held on Saturday evening last at the Club Hotel, Mr Lowes (President) being in the Ohair, The minutes of the previous . mooting having been read and confirmed, A a telegram was read from Mr B. Kim- ™ berloy deolining to be re-appointed as handioapper to the Olub, The balance sheet, duly audited, was laid on the table, A notice of motion defining hack horses was given. It was decided to have dj qualification fee, Mr A. Biah was appointed timekeeper, and several new members were elected. The following programme was passed: HttST DAY. Maiden, as beiore, 30 sovb, second 5 sovs, Railway Stakes, increased to 40s sovs, second horse 10 sovs, Maiden District Hack Race 10 sovs as ."" before. Opaki Stakes, incroased to 75 sovs, second borne 10 sovs, third horse 5 son. In the place of the Trotting Match will be an A..8,C„ 2 years old race of 25 aovs, Hack Race of 10 sovs as before. The six events represents a value of £l9O. SECOND DAY. Hurdle Handicap, 40 sovs; secondjw borae 10a. r Hack Hurdle Race, 15 sovs; second horso 5 sovs. District Handicap, 55 sovs; second horse, 10 sovs. Hack Race, 10 sova, Consolation Handicaps2ssovs; secoud horse, 5 sova, Novel Race, 25 sovb, being an increase of 5 sovs on last year, the winner to become the absolute property of the Stewards and sold by public auction. The six events represent a value of .£l7O. The Derby nominations lo be advertised are, for 1885, m, and for 1886, £75. It waß decided that a hack horse ib one in actual use and which has never run for other than hack races.
