GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS. Passengers enn be booked at Stations only on condition that there is room in the Train. Children under three years of age travel free; abovo three and under twelve years of age, half-price, Horses, Carriages, &c.-The Railway De partment does not undertake to forward Horses and Carriages by any particular Train, but when sent they must be at the lorwarauig amuvu U wwi-w> «— parture of the Train. The owners of horses must provide means for necuringthemin the horsebox, and the Railway Department will not be accountable for any injury sustained through their breaking loose or otherwise, nor will it undertake to carry unbroken or vicious Horses. At Country Stations requisitions forhorse boxes or carriages trucks must bo made the day before tht.y are wanted. t , Dogs must be provided with chainß, or other sufficient means of securing them. They will not be allowed in carriages, and the owner must obtain a ticket, to be given up before the end of the journey, beforo the do? 13 delivered, E; turn or Periodical Tickets will not be avnilablo for Special or Excursion Trains, except the Ordinary Time Table is suspen Parco'is and Goods forPipitea, Kaiwarra, Ngahaurangn, fielmont, Harvard's, Silver Stream, Wallacovillo, Summit, Cross' Creek, Pigeon Rush, Fernsidc, Woodsitlo, and at Fh» Stations, must be Prepaid, and will be nut out on the platforms of those Stations at the risk oi the Consignee.
Special Notice-To enßurc despatch, Pdvcels, Extra Luggage, and Dogs must k at the Station at least Thirty Minutes before advertised time of departure of Train.

Luggage-Each passenger is allowed to take 11211)3 of personal luggage frco (not including merchandise of any kind), and for every oGlbs above tins weight, for every 5() miles or fraction of 50 miles, the charge will be One Shilling. No luggage will be allowed to be taken into the carnages, unless of such a size that it cau be placed under the seat without inconvenience to other passengers, Passengers aro strongly recommended to have their Names and the station to which they are proceeding distinctly marked on their Luggage, and to satisfy themselves that it is placed on the Train, as the railway Department will not be responsible unless it is booked and paid for. Parcels and Goods-From the above Sta tions can be mado "To Pay" at Wellington Petoui, Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt, Kaitoke Featherston, Greytown, Carterton, and Mas terton.
