Constable Darby v, William Morris. —Defendant was charged with having used obscene language within the hearing of persons on the public road. Pined 20s and costs.
William Coev. Lewis Nix.—Perjury. Mr Sandilands for prosecution, Mr Beard for accused, The evidence of eight witnesses was taken and the case was then remanded - for a fortnight bail being allowed, accused himself in £IOO and one security in'a like sum,
There were a number of civil cases ou the list, all of which were settled out of Court. A case in which. W. S. • Forbes was informant and L, Wakelin defendant, for being illegally on premises, was adjourned for a fort-, night.
GREYTOWN.—TUESDAY, (Before H. S, Wabdell, Esq,, R.M., and S. Revans, Esq,, J.P.) John Ryan applied by letter for a reduction of the amount payable by him nnder an-order of. Court .towards the maintainance of his three children now in an: Industrial School. ; The amount was reduced from 8s to 5s per week for each child, Constable Eccleton v, J, Haxton,— Defendant was charged with having on two occasions cruelly illtreaied a horse, In. one case the imormation was dismissed. In the other defendant was fined 20s and costs. There were three cases of debt on. the. list, and judgment \yas entered for piaintiffe in each case.
