<pM WAIRARAPA EAST COUNTY, fpHE following resolution-will be proposed 3. at a meeting of tho Council, to be held at these offices on THURSDAY, the lltli of September next:— ■ F.G.MOORE, County Clerk. County Council Chambers, Mastcrton 20th August 1884. : 'Whereas by proclamation dated Ist February, 1883, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 12, of that date the boundaries ot the several ridings in tho County of Wairarapa East were declared to bo those set forth in schedule 2 to that proclamation, and. whereas, since that data certain new road districts have been constituted within the limits of said county, by which constitution tho boundaries of the several Read Districts in the county have been eo altered as to render it necessary to alter the boundaries of certain ridings in order to comply with the provisions of Section 23 of tho " Counties Act Amendment Act, 1882". Now therefore in conformity with tho. provisions of section 20 of the said Act this Council hereby by special order declares that in lieu of the boundaries of _ tho Alfredton, Maaterton, and Castle Point Ridings published in the Now Zealand Gazette before mentioned tho following shall be substituted ALFREDTON BIDINO (AiIEKDEo). Bounded towards the North by the Wnipawa County from the Manawatu Gorge to the point where the Northern boundary of the Provincial district of Wellington crosses tho summit of tie Puketoi range thence towards the east generally by the summit of that range trig-station, Puketoi. by a right line frbm tho lostmentioned trig-station to the north west cornor of section 60; thence by sections 60 and 61, Block VII., Puketoi, to the Tiraumea river;.by the centre of that river to its confluence with the Waitawhiti stream; by that stream to Section 174, Block XI., Puketoi; by the last mentioned section and by section 175 of tho same block, and by tho western boundary of the last mentioned section produced until it reaches the centre of the Taueru river, by flmt centre until it reaches a point in lino with the northern boundary of section 143, Block 11., Mangapakeha, generally towards South by the last mentioned section, and that bound ay produced until it meets the dividing line between the College and Educational Reserves by the Educational Reserve and section 131 Block 1, Maugapakeha; by section 21,17,18, 101, 100. Block IV Kopuaranga; by the centre of a publio road and the Wangaehu Valley road to a point in line with the northern boundry of section 103, Block 111 Kopuaranga; and by a right line bearing 295° 30' magnetic from the last mentioned point to the Tararua Range, and generally towards the west by that range to the com. mencing point. Bounded generally towards the Worth by tbe Alfredton Biding before described from the Tararua Range to the centre of the IVueru River, by that centre and by section 824, Block 111, Mangapakeha; generally towards the East by sections 15G, 155, 154, an(U53, Block 111, sections 811, 812. and by SG9, Block VI,, sections 870, 871, 875, across the public road, parts 1 and 2 of section 874, Block X, sections BG7 and 518, Block XIII, all of tho Maimgapakeba; by section 524, Block 1., Rewa, and by sootion 523, Block IV., Ctahuao; generally towards tho South by sections 14, 89, 92, aßd 90, Block IV,, Otahuao; by the centre of the Taueru River to its confluence with the Kerearea stream; theuce generally towards the SouthEast and South by the Wairarapa West County to tbe Manawatu County, and by the Manawatu County to the point of commencement, excepting from the above described area the Borough of Masterton. CASTLEPOINT RIDING (AMENDED), Bounded towards the north by the Waipawa County from the north easternmost corner of the Alfredton riding before described to the mouth of the. Waimata stream on the east Coast; thence towards the south east by the ocean to the Wliareama river; thence towards the south west by the said Whareama rivor to its confluence with the Waihora stream; thence again towards the south east by the said Waihora Btream to the north east of section No. 679 Rewa survey district j thence by a light lino to tho easternmost anglo of section 609 said Rewa sumy district; thence again towards the south west by the said section No, 669 to the Kaumingi stream and by tbe said Kaumingi stream to the Taneru River; and thence towards the north weßt generally by tho Masterton and Alfredton Ridings before desoribed to tne point of commencement,
