CORRESPONDENCE.

GOING FOR THE DOGS. (To the Editor) Sir,—] observe that a constable this morning held a number of distress warrants in his hand which had been issued against citizens fined for nonregistration of dogs, This seems a very harsh proceeding as the fines would in all caßes have been paid without theadditional cost. What I would like to know is the amount of fines inflicted ill the R. M. Court during the last three years' and what amount, of these have been allowed to stand over, It is Said that the sum is considerable. Yours 4c., Enquirer,

;P.S,—Perhups the.new Minister of Justice might make it convenient to ask the question.
