MASTERTON CRICKET CLUB.
The annual meeting the of club was held at Messrs Beard I ''* ( Gray's office last evening and was well attended. The President (Mr W.-G. Beard) occupied the chair, the minutes of the last annual meeting were read.and confirmed, the secretary reported -that during the p&sjj' .season the club'had played, eleven ranches, winning eight; thatiMr A, J, Hathaway had won the President's bat for the best average'' batting, ; and Mr ;W. McKenzie,;the club's bat for bowling. The treasurer's statement showed that the club was'in a sound position financially. ;; .'):,;; The following ■ were elected for the ensuing -President, Mr! W. 0. Reard : '(re-eiected); Tice-Presi-dent,-Mr W. H.,Beetham (re-elected); General Messrs, H. Williams, W. McKenziei L." M. Isitt, F. G. Moore, W. P. Committee, Messrs Ford, and McKenzie; Match- Committee, Messrs Bethune, Hathaway, .arid. McKenzie; Captain, Mr F. Bethune; Practice Captain, Mr A. J. Hathaway; Custodian, Mr J. Williams Secretary, Mr F. Bethune; Treasurer, Mr J. Williams.
It was resolved that the r subscription for the ensuing year be 10s, and that the colors of the club be blue' and white. Messrs Beard and Mobre wore appointed a committee to wait on the Park Trustees 'with reference' to the use of the Oval. .:■[-
The President offered a bat for the best average batting during the coming season, and ono was also offered for bowling,, . L Messrs Be.thune, McKenzie, and Ford were appointed ; a committee to draw up rules to submit to next meeting. ';•;' ' ■ ""'
A vote of thanks to the. chairman terminated the business.
