Received September 4th, 12.30 a.m.. —An extra match between the Australian cricketers and the team representing all England ha 3 been arranged for Thursday, the 11th inst,, and a match for the benefit of the Cricketers Fund will take-place at Lords' Ground on Monday, 15th inst. botween elevens of smokers and non-smokers. Each side will be partly formed of members of the Australian team.
Melbourne, September 3. There is nothing yet doing in the betting on the Melbourne Cup.
Vienna, September 1.News has been received here that a railway train by which it was expected that King Milan of Servia, was travelling towards this city, was thrown from the rails during the journey. The accident is believed to be the result of a plot against His Majesty's life, London, September 3. Mr Gladstone delivered his third and final speech on the events of the past session at Edinburgh last night. On this occasion the Premier's remarks were confined to an exposition of the Government policy in relation to the reform of the franchise, Mr Gladstone's reception at Edinburgh has throughout his visit been of the heartiest character.

It is freely rumored that Lord Carlingford, owing to ill health, is about to resign his position in the Ministry as Lord President of the Council and Lord Privy Seal, and that he wili.be replaced by Earl Roseberry. The cricket match Australians v. North 'of England was concluded to-day at Nottingham, and resulted in a victory for the Home team by 165 runs, Owing to the bad state of the wicket, the Australians were only able to put together 76 out of ,242 which they required to win. None of the batsmen were able to make a stand against the-bowling, which proved effective on the cut up ground. St. Petesbtjrg, September 3. The Czar left this city at midnight for Warsaw. Strict secrecy was observed as to His Majesty's intention to depart.
