PRODUCE PRICES.
Mr George Thomas, Wellington, reports produce for the past week as follows:—A good business has been done in Derwent potatoes at increased rates, and prices are now very firm at 70s, sacks included, The same remark cannot apply to fluke and kidney seed samples, the market being quite overstocked, and owners are prepared to accept auy figure in reason. Oats, firm at 2s 6d to 2s 7d; bran, L 5; pollard, 15 lOd; oatmeal, Ll2 10s; fowls' wheat, 2s 6d to 3s; flour, L 9 10s; feed barley, 2s 6d; maize, demand limited, 4s 9d; beans, 4s j onions, nominal price LI 3; cheese, 5Jd j hams and bacon, farmers' cure, 7d; Canterbury do., 9d, Fresh btitter js coining more freely to hand, and consequently prices have fallen to Is 2d; salt do, Bd, with exceedingly slight sale.. Eggs are arriving daily from all parts, and the demand is slackening off, lOd to lid being to-day's realisations. Fowls, scaice, at 4s 6d; geese, 7s; turkeys, 9s per pair. ■ There is no change to report in lines of fruit; the rnarkeS is amply supplied, and' prices as a rule show a loss to shippers.
