Qorrespondehoe was read from Survey Department ; from Property Tax Department re rates on native lands; from Mr Sayer, re road'contract; from Waiohine River Board re protective works; from Provincial District Auditor, Wellington, re, auditing Board's accounts; from H: Udy, sen,, re closing of road through his land ; from Public Works Office, enclosing tracings,

It was resolved that Mr Raynor's application for gate on Vila's road be granted.

The following accounts were passed for payment; J.' Hannah, £3 6s; J. Hart, £6 9s 3d ;C. Zabell, £3; W, Waldiu, £1 10s 3d; petty cash, £5 ; J. Dirrock, £lO 10s; M. Bambry, £2 lQs;W.BootUCo,£3l6s;McC'ormick, £lolos.

It was moved, by Mr H. R. Buuny, and seconded by Mr H, Braithwaite, that the charge for horse and cart in future be 10s per day, and for men 6s 6d.

An application was made by Mr E. Dorset on behalf oj Mr J, Eaton, contractor for Kokotau road, that as he was unable to finish the contract in time for the present meeting, that \ ayment be held over until such time as Mr E. Dorset passed the work. Proposed by Mr H. Braithwaite, and seconded by Mr N.Grace, that notice be given that all outstanding rates not paid within one month will be sued for.—Carried.

Resolved, That the sum of £53 be paid to Mr J. Eaton' subject to Mr E, Dorset's approva,. Mr Dorset asked for permission to do something to White's Line as it was impassable. Proposed by Mr H. K. Bunny and seconded by Mr H. Braithwaite, That Mr Dorset be entitled to spend £5 on White's line.—Carried.
