i. at a meeting of tho Council to be held at these offices on THURSDAY, the 11th of September next:— F. G. MOORE, County Clerk. County Council Chambers, Masterton 20th August 1884, Whereas by proclamation dated Ist February, 1883, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 12, of that date the boundaries of the several ridings in tho County of Wairarapa East were declared to be those set forth in schedule 2 to that proclamation, aud whereas, since that date certain new road districts have been constituted within the limits of said county, by which constitution the boundaries of tho several Read Districts in the county havo been so altered as to render it necessary to alter the boundaries of certain ridings in order to comply with the provisions of Section 23 of the" Counties' Act Amendment Act, 1882". Now therefore in conformity with the provisions of section 26 of the said Act this Council hereby by speoial order declares that in lieu of the boundaries of the Alfredton, Masterton, and Castle Point Ridings published in (he New Zealand Gazette before mentioned the following shall be substituted: ALFREDTON HIDING (AMENDED), Bounded towards the North by the Waipawa-County from [tho Mauawatu Gorge to the point where the Northern boundary of the Provincial district of Weilington crosses the summit of the Puketoi range thence towards the east generally by the summit of that range to trig-station, Puketoi. by a right lino from tho lastmentioned trig-station to the north west oornor of section 60 ; thence by sections 50 and 61, Block VII., Puketoi, to the Tiraumea river; by : the centre of that river to its confluence with the Waitawhiti stream; by that stream to Section 174, Block XI,, Puketoi; by tho last mentioned section and by section 175 of the same block, and by the western boundary of the last mentioned section produced until it reaches the centre of the Taueru river, by that centre until it reaches a point in line with the northern boundary of section 143, Block 1I„ . Mangapakeha, generally towards the South .by the last mentioned section, and that bound try produced until it meets the dividing line between the College and Educational Reserves by tho Educational Reserve and section 131 Block 1, Mangapakeha; by section 21,17,18, 101, 100. Block IV Kopuaranga; by the centre of a public road and the Wangaehu VaUey road to a point in line with tho novlhern boundry of section 103, Block 111 Kopuaranga; and by a right line bearing 295° 3Q' magnetio from the last mentioned point to the Tarawa Range, and generally towards the west by that range to the cornmencing point. MASTERTON BIDING (AMENDED.) • Bounded generally towards the .North by the Alfredton Biding before described from the Tararua Range to the centre of the Tiueru River, by that centre and by section 824, Blook 111, Mangapakeha; generally towards the East by sections 156,155, 164, and 153, Block 111, sections 811, 812, and by 869, Block VI„ sections 870, 871, 875, across the public road, parts 1 and 2 of section 874, Block X, seotions 867 and 518, Block XIII, all of the Maungapakeba; by section 624, Block 1., Rewa, and by section 523, Block 1V.,. Ctahuao; generally towards the South by sections 14, 81), 92, and 96, Block IV., Otahuao; by the centre of the Taueru River to its confluence with the Kerearea stream; thence generally towards the fcoutl)-. East and South by the Wairarapa West County to'the Manawatu County, and by the Manawatu County to the point of commencement, excepting frpm the above described area tho Borough of Masterton, ' CASTLEFOINT RIDING (AMENDED).
