FOOTBALL.
The match between the Masterton and Greytown boys, which was to have been played on Saturday afternoon, did not come off, owing to the latter team not putting in an appearance. There was a good muster of printers, I, wheelwrights, bakers, 4c., on Saturday Y afternoon. Messrs Harvey and McKpa zie picked teams, and after about ™ hour and a half play, the 'fetter's side won by four tries to one. The most important gamo of the season will bo played on Wednesday afternoon, when the printers (and imps) will meet a team from the butchers, bakers, blacksmiths, and wheelwrights! The following players will represent the men of meat, dough, wood, and iron :—E. Dixon, Ewlngton, Foy, Harrison, Hunter, Jones, MtnY, Pelling, Perry, Ranby, Ross, Wagland, Worth' "** Wickens, Wickerson; emergencies' Chamberlain,Morris ) Mills, Weston. The printers' team will consist of Baumber Blinkhorne, F, Gardner, Hawke, Hogg' Hounslow (3), Hornblow, McKenzie[ E. Minih'e, O'Connor, Richards, Vile*. Woolcott; emergency, S. Minifie, A. Gardner, P. Freeth, A, McKane. Theball will be kicked off at four o'clock sharp, ■'■'*•
