A SKELETON UNEARTHEAD.
Information was brought to the police on. Monday by Mr Whatman of " Abbortsford that two men—Jesse J| Gazzard and another—whilst fencing on the Abbotsford run, came e across the skeleton of an adult ° poison, The skeleton was buried in a £ sitting posture, and a number of boulder stones were upon it, and over all. a layer of earth about six inches in !? depth. The bones were placed in a bag and brought to the police station at : Masterlon, awaiting instructions from the department at Wellington, It is presumed from the surroundings where the skeleton was unearthed, and the appearance of the bones, that at least y ten years have passed since the body was buried there. "
