Passengers can be booked at Stations only on condition that there is room in the Train. Children under three years of age travel free; above three and under twelve years of age, half-price. Horses, Carriages, &c.-The Railway Department does not undertako to forward Horses and Carriages by any particular Train, but when sent they must be at the forwarding station half-an-hourbeforethe des parte of the Train. The owners of horses mtiit provide means for wearing them in the horsebox, and the Railway Department will not be accountable, for any injury sustained through their breaking loose ur otherwise, nor will it undertake to carry unbroken or vioious Horses. At Country Stations requisitions forhorse boxes or carriages trucks must bo made the day before thy are wanted. Dogs must bo provided with chains, or other sufficient means of securing them, They will not be allowed in carriages, and the owner must obtain a ticket, to be given up before the end of the journey, before the doij is delivered, Keturn or Periodical Tickets will not be available for Special or Excursion Trains, except the Ordinary Time Table is suspended Parcels and Goods forPipitea, Kaiwarra, NRahauranga, Belmont, Haywaid's, Silver Stream, Wallaceville, Summit, Cross' Creek, Pigeon Bush, Fernside, Woodside, and at Hag Stations, must he Prepaid, and will be put out on the platforms of those Stations at the risk of the Consignee. Special Notice—To ensure despatch, Parcelß, Extra Luggage, and Dogß must be at the Station at least Thirty Minutes before advertised time of departure of Train, Tho Railway Department does not pledge itself to the despatch or arrival of the Trains at the exact times notified in the above Tables, and in the event of any oiruumBtances arising either during or prior to the journey being made which may ronder it impossible or inexpedient for a Train to pro. ceed, will return the Fares paid, but does not undertake to forward the passengers, Luggage.—Each passenger is allowed to take 1121bs of personal luggage free (not in eluding merchandise of any kind), and for every 561bs above this weight, for every 5n miles or fraction of 50 miles, the charge will be One Shilling, No luggage will be allowed to be taken into the carriages, unless of such a size that it can be placed under the seat without inconvenience to other passengers, Passengers are strongly recommended to have their Na.ues and the station to which they are proceeding distinctly marked on their Luggago, and to satisfy themselves that it is placed on the Train, as the railway Department will not be responsible unless it is booked and paid for. Parcels and Goods—From the above Sta tions can be made " To Pay" at Wellington Petoni, Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt, Kaitoke Featherston, Greytown, Carterton, and Mas ferton.
