(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Auckland, Tuesday. During the dense fog this morning a mishap occurred to the steamer Hawera. The vessel left Manukau wharf at eight o'clock, and when she jiacl proceeded abput a mile and a half down the harbor ran aground on a sand-bank and remained fast. All attempts to back her proved futile, and when the fog cleared the vessel was discovered a considerable distance out of her course. She is perfectly safe and uninjured, and will probably be kedged off to-night and sail to-morrow.
