The English, Scottish, and Australian Chartered Bank has declared a dividend for the past half-year at the rate of 10 per cent per annum, and carries forward and places to reserve £20,000. King Tawhiao and the members of the Maori Embassy will have audience of Her Majesty the Queen to-day at Osborne. The Daily News in its issues this morning, publishes a telegram stating that a serious rising has occurred in the south-west of the province of Yemen, on the Bed Sea Coast of Arabia. The Arabic insurgents have declared themselves followers ot the Mahdi, and have mustered in great force. Sava, the captain of the province, has yielded to them and they have also captured several towns and villages. The governor of the province found himself entirely unable to cope with the insurgents, and the Porte has despatched a force of 10,000 troops to restore order. St Petersbekg, July 30. Cholera of a mild type has appeared in this city, and cases have occurred at Charkoff, in Southern Russia. London, July 31.
