CASTLEPOINT ROAD BOARD
A meeting of the Board was held at Tinui last Saturday. Present-? Messrs Mackay (Chairman), Langdon, Meredith, and Harvey. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The Treasurer reported a balance in bank of £4512s 9d. Accounts amount- ■ ing to .£79 3s were passed for payment, The following correspondence was 1 read;— From Mr Liverton re Pakowai road repairs; from Messrs Payton and t Co re advertising; from Mr Oonnal re ' TJriti and Tinui Valley road; from Mr 1 Jepson, asking to have the painting of , the new office delayed till fine weather, { also applying for a further extension ; of time; from Mr McGucken, applying: 1 for payment of wages on wet days; 1 from Mr Elder, re closing gates on ' portion of the Whakaroro road not in I use, ] Resolved—That Messrs Langdon and 3 Belliss be appointed to- report on the 1 work proposed by the' Overseer on the; I Black Hill track, ' • 1 r That Mr Liverton's. account' for £3 1 for work done on the Pakowai road,be paid, That the attention of the County 1 Council' be drawn to the bridge at t Bounce's Jump,..on the.Tinui-Eketa- , huna line, being carried away, and '■ requested to take.steps to have it replaced.
