THE EGYPTIAN CONFERENCE
Before the vote was taken on the Anglo-French agreement in the Chamber of Deputies on June 26th, M. Ferry promised that the decisions of Conference should not entirely determine the position of Prance without the consent of the Chamber of Deputies, He concluded; "We are aiming at neutrality in Egypt for the Canal England has given assurance that it shall be neutral. Under these circumstances France, in joining the Conference, fulfilled a patriofcio duty."
