[by electmc telegraph—copyright.] Beuteb's Telegrams. London, July 10. The Marquis of Normanby was entertained last night at a banquet by the leading AngloAustralians in London. Among the guests were Lord Kimberly, the Marquis of Lome, and Sir Michael Hicks-Beach, In response to the toast of his health, Lord Normanby took occasion to deny that the Yietonans were guilty of lavish expenditure of borrowing money. In reference to the Kecidivisite question, he urgts the colonies to await with patience the action ef the Imperial Government. LoxDpw, July 9. The market rate of discount has fallen to lper cent; bank rite 2 per cent, Adelaid wheat, ex store, remains at 40s; off coast cargoes, 39a; quotations are nominal. Sir William Jervois inspected the locol defences and works in person yesterday, His Excellency leaves for Melbourne to-day. Brisbane, Friday. The address in reply to the Governor's speech has been agreed to by both houses of Parliament.
