To the Editor. Sill,—Allow mo to contradict a statement published in yesterday's issue of tho Duly. Mr MoCardle has not given a satisfactory pledge to the Good Templars, neither has a committee been formed in the Lodge to Bfcure that gentleman's return as a member of the House of Representatives, lam, ChAS. HoiDAWAY. A political committee was formed at the meeting referred to. Perhaps Mr Holdaway will dear the matter up by statin? distinctly for what purpose it was appointed.-E.W.D.
