LARGE FIKE AND LOSS OF LIFE,

Hawkra, Saturday. A large fire occurred at Cook's hotel last night. The place was campletely gulted. Kilroy, who was sleeping in one of the rooms, was suffocated, and his body found afterwards slightly charred. He appeared to bo dazed by the smoke as he was found on his hands and knees on the floor. He could easily have escaped otherwise.
