A oorral is made t ian{!ul ut in fchape, and iu one corner is an o).tn that Itads into a long passageway, shout 112 feet in length, two and a half wide, and high enough to admit the tallest a- iu.al The pussaueway or hall has a gate ;.t either end, aud is divided off into aix'eaa stalls oi seven feet each by inserting bars acmes it. 'I he cows are driven from the tiiangulir corral into tiiis hill, the bars of course hiviugbfen removed, and when full th:' li»rj are inserted in their proper places .•win ea.h cow beirg confined in a separate sti'll. Each stall has a separate gate, about two fee; square, direct'y under the animal's under, 'lhe milker opeus this gate, seats frmaelf. and milki; after which ho closes tht gate and proceeds to the next, until all have been milked, The front loading to the pasture is then opened, the bare removed, an>i the cows allowed to on into the pasture; after which the gate is closed and tun stalls again filled from the corral, and so on until all hive been milked, Mr Brown, who is in charge of the dairy, flays the plan works to perfection.
