Mr Dwao announces himself for tho Lower Butt. Mr FMerbert will address the electors at the Lower Hutt to-night,
Palmerstojt Nostb, July 3, Mr Izard addressed the Foxton electors on Tuesday evening, at the Public Hall, Foxton, and he was well received.
Blenheim, June 3, Mr Connolly at Picton, and Mr Dodson at Blenheim, have both addressed the electors, and received votes of confidence.
Auckland, July 3, Mr W, Wiison, line manufacturer, is out lor Itodney; Mr H., Farnall for Newton, and Mr Seymour George for Parnell.
The Trades and Labor Council have resolved to ask every candidate the following questions Will he support the imposition of a land tax; tho repeal of the property tax - tho discontinuance of freo and assisted' immigration; is he in favor of one vote only in the election of members of the Assembly —viz,, abolition of the property qualification, and that the only qualification bo manhood suffrage ?
Nelson, Ju'.y 3. Mr J. Piper announces hifflself as a candidate to represent Nelson City, in opposition to Mr Levestain.
CiißisTCHuitcn, July 3. It is reported to be more than probable that Mr Wakefield will be opposed for Selwn.
Mr J. L, Wilson is to oppose Mr Garrick for St Albans, Mr J. D. Lanco addressed the electors of Cheviot last night, and declared himself a supporter of Sir Julias Yogei, but said lie was opposed to reckless expenditure. A unanimous vote of thanks and confidence was passed. Mr J. Jacobson, senr., speaking at Waddingtqi}, strongly condemned the present Government, and expressed J}imself willing to follow Sir Julius Vogel, if the latter could form a strong united party, He received a vote of thanks.
Donedis, Friday. James Gore has decided to contest Dune' din South,
Bathgate, at Roslyn, received a vote of confidence.
Kdsiaiu, Friday, Seddon addressed the electors at l)illmanstown last night, and a vote of thanka and confidence was carried. Guinness addressod the electors of Greymouth at Westbrook, and obtained a unanimous vote of confidence.
