"We acknowledge the receipt from Mr 6. Wyett of the annual report of that excellent institution The Permanent Investment and Loan Association of the Wairarapa, which lias its head quarters at Greytown. The revenue for the past year has amounted to £8604 16s sd, and the net profit for the year to £1262 Is sd, The value of shares issued in June 1875 are quoted at £43 14s IGd. The report says " there is nothing in the figures submitted to call for special remark," but we think there is something in them wliieh should suggest congratulation,
