To inn Editor,
Sir,-In your issue of yesterday I notice you devote some attention to the coining man, Mr William Wilson McCardlo. You evidently feel yourself between two stools, and not very certain but tlia-, you will drop between them. You intimate that his (Mr MeCai'dle's) weakness is that he is not A practical man, but yon fail to advance any but imaginary arguments to provo your assertion. Mr McCardlo, sir, has proved himself a practical man in innumerable during his residence in tliffl district; This you are well aware of, bill?* for political reasons you wish to make out tlio coutrary, Further you say that Mr McCardle will not succeed in his venture, aud that the electors oE this district are not prepared at the bidding of any now coiner to vote for him. Well sir I do say that the electors are prepared not only to vote for Mr McCardle but to place lum at the head of the poll, not as a now comer, but as an old and respected resident, a man who at any |oojt is prepared to put his Sterlingpractical abilities (not theories as' you imagine) intq use for the henefit of this district. 1 Yours &c„ Voter,
