Passengers can be booked at Stations only on condition that there is room in the Train. Children under three years of agi; travel free; above three and under twelve years of age, half-price. Horses, Carriages, &c—The Railway Department does not undertake to forward Horses and Carriages by any particular Train, but when sent they must bo at the forwardine station balf-an-hourbeforethe de« pirture of the Train. The owners of horses must provide means for securing tlmm in the horsebox, and the Railway Department will not bo accountable for any injury sustained through their bieaking loose or otherwise, nor will it undertake to carry unbroken or vieious llcrses. At Country Stations requisitions forliorse boxes or carriages trucks must be mude the day beforo they are wanted. Dogs must be provided with chains, or other sufficient means of securing them. They will not be allowed in carriages, and the owner must obtain a ticket, to be given up before the end of the journey, before the dotj is delivered, _ Return or Periodical Tickets will not be available for Special or Excursion Trains, pvept the Ordinary Time Table is suspended Parcels and Goods forPipitea, Kaiwarra, Ngahamaugn, Belmont, Hayward's, Silver Stream, Wallaceville, Summit, Cross' Creel;, l'i«con Kuril, Fernside, Woodside, and at l'lag Stations, must be Prepaid, and wiil be put out on the platforms of those Stations at the risk of the Consignee. Special Notice—To ensure despatch, Parcels, Extra Lugg.ige, and Dogs must lie at the Station at least Thirty Minutes before advertised time of depai'tuie of Train. The Railway Department does not pledge itself to the despatch or arrival of the Trains at the exact times notified in the above Tables, and in the event'of any cirsumDtances arising either during or prior to tho journey being made which may render it impossible or inexpedient for a Train to proceed, will return the Fares paid, but does not uudortake to forward the pasßengera. Lußgagc.-Each passenger in allowed to take 1121bs of personal luggage free (not in eluding merchandise of any kind), and for every 561bs above this weight, for every 5o miles or fraction of 50 miles, the charge will be One Shilling, Nolugyige willbeallowed to be taken into the carriages, unless of each a size that it can be placed under the seat without inconvenience to other passengers, Passengers are strongly rooommended to have their Na.nes and the station to which thoy ate proceeding distinctly marked on their Luggage, and to satisfy themselves that it is placed on the Train, as the railway Department will not be responsible unless it Parcels and Goods—From the above Sta tions can be made" To Pay" at Wellington Petoni, Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt, Kaitoke Featherston, Greytown, Carterton, and Mas terton.
