THE COMING ELECTIONS.

Efforts are, says tho Lyttclton Times, being made to induce Mr John Joyce to come forward for the Lyttleton seat, and it is stated that there is ; a probability of that gentleman consenting. In addition to the-names of probable candidates for the Oamaru seat already mentionod, that of Mr C'Meaghor must'begiven. That etentlcnaan has, according to tho North Times, been asked to staud, and, under certain conditions, had consented to accede to tho wish of Ins friends.
