SPIRITUAMISM.
On Tuesday evening last, at the rooms ot the Wellinptou Spiritual Investigating Association, a number of members und also strangers assembled at the usual Sunday evening open.meeting, Afier singing two hymns and reading a portion of scrip'uve, tho medium was entranced, and then' delivered a very impressive invocation." After the delivery of the invocation, an address on the subject of "Death", wis given.by the.controlling spirit, who fully described the chinge called deilh, and related the experiences ot several spirits on their entrance to the spirit world. The address, which lasted about forty minutes, was delivered in a most impressive manner, and caused a deep impression on the minds of all present. At tho conclusion of the addross, the medium was controls by a different spirit, who invited the audience to put. questions mi the suhjoot just dealt with. Several of the ladies and gentlemen present availed themselves of the opportunity of questioning tho spit its, and tho answers given were prompt} and pointed. Before the spirits relinquished control they announoed that same subject would be continued next Sunday, and froah expetiencus related. The association, which has only been organised for about two months, has secured a cumtoi table room, cauable of seating about sixty people. Tho room is nicely furnisliod, and piivalo circles are being hold during the week, with excellent results, On Siind.iy evening, Btrangcrs desirous of being piesent are admitted on invitation. At present-the applications for admittance txceed tho limit of tho accomodation, mid it is hoped that in the courso of a few months the society will be able to hold its meetings in larger premises.—N.Z.
