The New 'Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) have received the following telegram from their London office, dated 29th ultimo
Wool.—The Sales opened this day at an average decline of 5 per cent, on last sales' closing rates, except for crossbred sorts, which are firmer. Up to date, 360,000 bales have arrived, but 400,000 bales will be admissable; 60,000 bales have been sent to the manufacturing districts direct. ■
Wheat.—The ■ opening catalogue contained 8600 sacks. The market is quiet.. Adelaide is worth 43s Gd, and" New Zealand 39s 6d' per 4961b. Adelaide, f.a.q.,is <uf. to arrive, 41s per 4801b, . MarlwCqmet. Mutton is woath 40, and been 275, per cwt. iv Leather.—The market is firm, Best sides are worth ll|d per lb. New Zealand Hemp, —Market quiet, Fine quality is worth £2l < per ton, nominally,
