GREYTOWN TOWN LANDS TRUST.
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING, . -Tlio annual .meeting was held'last Thursday evening, Mr J. Baillie ■presiding. Upon the motibnof'Mr duff, seconded by Mr Haigh, the following'- report and balance' sheet were adopted. The report is as follows :
•|JWort, ; -; ;;' Yo'iii\ Trustee have the honor to report that during the twelve monies just oxpired, they have, in conjunction with the Mastertotf) Trustees, had a Bill passed by Parliament amending the former Bill, and amendments in which a clause was inserted, authorising' the Masterton Trustees to sell, and tho' Grey town Trustees to buy the .Masterton interest, in the town .belts of Greytown, for the sum of £250. The release necessary is now injtjie hands of tho solicitor of the Mastertoii Trust prior to signature, when the matter, will be finally settled. ~ During the year, your Trustees-have granted £ls. to' the school furidsj 1 ; and £lO to the Wairarapa InStitute.Your Trustees have found it necessary 'to have a supper room of a more convenient' and commodious' nature attached to the Town-Mlv&diiM-accepted a .tender for its" erection. 1 , The preliminary steps necessary V purchase three acres of land leased at present from'Hori.Taha, and included: in the recreation ground have been taken, and the Trustees hope to soon report the completion of the matter. Messrs- Cuff and Bright are the retiring Trustees, both of .whom are eligible for re-election. •. , It-will be necessary to elect two. auditors for the ensuing year, at this present meeting; .
