MASTERTON-THIS DAY. Before H. S. Wardell Esq, B.M. H. McArdle v. William Peterkin (1) drunk while in charge of ahorse and vehicle; (2) using obscene ..language in a public street; (3) injury to door of the police cell; (4) threatening language towards Sergeant McArdle. The accused, who made no defence, was fined 40s for the first offence, 100s for the second, 20s for the third, and ordered' to find surety for keeping the peace for four months, The fines were all paid. A man named Robert Stewart who had spent his last sixpence in liquor was ordered to do six hours', hard labor, ■'.•'.■ .-.;■:..:
