The first annual meeting of shareholders in the Wellington Meat Refrigerating Ooropauy, called for Wednesday, lapsed for want of a quorum. A man named Goorge Lymington con> mitted suicide at Hodder's Yktoria Hotel, Featherston, at about two or three o'clock on Thursday. After oulling his throat from ear to ear, he was found with his head hanging oat of the window. He was perfectly sober last evening when he retired to rest, but a tew days ago, it'is said, he was drinking Lyrnington was formerly ostler, at Orr'a Martinborough Hotel, but was latterly employed In a similar capacity at the Victoria.' Our Peatherston correspondent writes that after committing the act lie must have endeavored to jump out of the window at which he was found dead.
