GENEUAL INSTRUCTIONS. \ Passengers can be booked at Stations only on condition that there is room in the Train, Children under three years of age travel free; above three and under twelve yearn of age, half-price. Horses, Carriages, &c.-The Railway Department dons not undertake to forward Horses and Carriages by any particular Traiu, but when sent they must be at the forwardiwr station lmK-an-hourbeforothe de« parture oE the Train. Tho owners of horaes must provide menus for scouring them in the horsebox, and the Railway Department will not be accountable for any injury sustained through their lueaking loose or otherwise, nor will it undertake to carry unbroken or vicious Horses, At Country Stations requisitions forhorso boxes or carriagetrucks must bo made the day before they are wanted, Dogs must be provided with chains, or other sufficient means of securing them. Thoy will not bo allowed in carriages, and the owner must obtain a ticket, to be given up before the end of ibe journey, before the don is delivered. Return or Periodical Tickets will not bo available for Special or Excursion Trains, except the Ordinary Time Table is suspended, Parcels and Goods for Pipitoa, Kaiwarra, Ngahaurangn, Belmont, Hayward's, Silver Stream, Wallaosvillo, Summit, Cross' Creek, Pigeon Uufh, Fernsido, Woodside, and at Flag Stations, must bo Prepaid, and will be put out on the platforms of those Stations at tho risk of tho Consignee. Special Notice—To ensure despatch, Parcels, Extra Luggage, and Dogs must be at tho Station at least Thirty Minutes before advertised time of departure of Train, The Railway Department does not pledgo itself to tho despatch or arrival of the Trains at the exact times notified in the above Tables, and in tho event of any ciwurastauces arising either during or prior to tho journey being made which may render it impossible or inexpedient for a Train loprO' ceed, will return the Fares paid, but does not undertake to forward the passengers. Lungagc.-Each passenger is allowed to take 1121bs of personal luggage free (not in eluding merchandise of any kind), and for every sGlbs abovo this weight, for every 50 miles or fraction of 50 mile?, the charge will be One Shilling, No luggage will be allowed to be taken into the carnages, unless of such a size that it can be placed under the seat without inconvenience to other passengers, Passengers are strongly recommended to have their Na.nes and the station to which they aro proceeding distinctly marked on their Luggage, and to satisfy themselves that it is placed on the Train, as the railway Department will not be responsible unless it is booked and paid for.
