Nomination 1 sov. RULES AND REGULATIONS. : : To he run under the Wairarapa Jockey Club Rules. The Saddling Bell will ring at 11,30 each day, and the firßt race start at 12 o'clock, The time for starting each event will be duly posted on the course after each preceding race. No person will be allowed to enter a horse for any raco (hack races excepted) unless he ae a subscriber of at least £1 to the race fund, Three entries or the public money will be withheld. No scratching of horses allowed, unless Jirough the seoretary, and fifteen minutes icfore the time of starting. The starter has the power to placo fractious or kicking horses, or disobedient jockeys iu any position he thinks necessary to seeuro a fair start, All entries to be made in writing, sealed and addressed to the secretary, entrance money enclosed, with name, age at time of entry, and pedigree of the horse, name of the owner, and colors of the rider, In all nominations for handicaps the previous performances are to be given. All jockeys to ride in proper racing costume, and any jockey riding except iu colors entered will be fined 2 sovs. No entry will be accepted unless aecom panied with the amount oi entrance money Nor will any entry tc received after the hour named under any preteuco whatever, No entry will be received for any of the races except upon this condition: That all disputes and objections aiising out of the races shall be decided by a majority of the stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the Carrying out of this programme shall bo final. Nominations for handicaps, goneral entries, and acceptances will bo received, by the seoretary at the Tinui Hotel on the following datesNoininations for all handicap races at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 19th; Weights declared (except for Forced Handicap) at the Club Hotel, Masterton, oh Saturday, February 23rd, at 9.30 p.m., and published on Monday, February 25th. Acceptances and general entries olose on FRIDAY, 29th February, at7p.m, Woights for Forced Handicap declared on course after District Handicap is run. A penalty of 71bs to bo carried by the winner of auy Maiden Plate after entry for these raees. No entry will bo received after hours and dates mentioned either by letter or telegram.
