Nomination 1 sov. RULES AND REGULATIONS. To bo run under tho Wairarapa Jockey Club Rules. The Saddling Bell will ring at 11.30 each day, and the first race start at 12 o'clock, The time for starting each event will be duly posted on the course after each preceding race. No person will be allowed to enter a horse for any raco (hack races excepted) unless he 30 a subscriber of at least £1 to the race fund. Three entries or the public money will be ■vithhekl. No scratching of horses allowed, unless vhrough the secretary, and fifteen minutes jefore the time of starting, The starter lias tho power to place fractious or kicking horses, or disobedient jockeys in any position he thinks necessaiy to secure a fair start, All entries to be made in writing, sealed and addressed to the secretary, ontvance money enclosed, with name, age at time of entry, and pedigree of the horse, name of the owner, and colors of tho rider. In all nominations for handicaps the previous performances are to be given, -All jockeys to ride in proper racing costume, and any jockey riding except in colors entered will be fund 2 sovs. No entry will bo accepted unless aecom panied with the amount of entrance money Nor will any entry be received after the .hour named under any pictenco whatever. No entry will bo received for any of the races except upon this condition: That all disputes and objections aiising out of the ia«es shall be decided by a majority of the stewards present, or those whom they nun appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of this programme iliall be liual. In case of a protest, the same must bo lodged with the secretary within fifteen minutes after the race is run, with a deposit of £X such deposit to bo forfeited if the protect be found trivial or vexatious. All district races District Hurdles, Ladieti' Bracelet, included, are open only to horses within the boundary of the Taueru river, Hat Point, and Waiaata streams, and owned by bona fide residents for three months' previous to the dalt of these races, Nominations for handicaps, general entries, and acceptances will be received by the seoretary at the Tinui Hotel on the following dateß:—Nominations for all handicap races at 8 p,m, on Tuesday, February 19th; Weights declared (except for Forced Handicap) at the Club Hotel, Masterton, on Saturday. February 23rd, at 9.30 p,ro., and published on Monday, February 25th. Acceptances and general entries close on FRIDAY, 29th February, at 7 p.m. Weights for Forced Handicap declared on course after District Handicap is run. A penalty of 71ba to be carried by the winner of any Maiden Plate after entry for these races. No entry will be received after hours and dates mentioned either by letter or telegram. A" Hack" horso is one in actual use as a hack, which has not been in training for six months provious to the meeting, and which has not, during that period, been nominated for, entered for, or run for other that hack
