(PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Napier, Thursday. News has been received from Wairoa that a man named Louis Lambert employed as a fencer on Gorton and Stevens station, committed suicide by hanging. Wellington l , Thursday. At tlio Resident Magistrates' Court to-day, in the case of E. W. Jefferd v P. K, Watty, for alleged fraudulently obtaining money on a bill of oxchange, there was no appearance of either party. The Magistrate ordered a warrant to be issued for Watty's arrest, and the police to enquire into the circumstances of the case with a view to carrying on the prosecution should Jefferd refuse to do so.
