RULES AND REGULATIONS, To to run under tho Wairarapa Jockey Club Rules, Tho Saddling Bell will ring at 11.30 each day, and tho first race start at 12 o'clock. The time for starting each ovent will be duly posted on tho course after each preceding race. So person will be allowed to enter a horse for any race (hack raies excepted) unless he Oe a subscriber of at least £1 to fio race fund. • Threo entries or tho public money will be rithheld, No scratching of horse 3 allowed, unless trough the secretary, and fifteen minutes seforo the time of starting, Tho starter has the power to place fractious or kicking horses, or disobodient jockoyß in any position ho thinks necessary to securo a fair start, All entries to be made in writing, sealed and addressed to tho secretary, entrance money enclosed, with name/ ago at time of entry, and pedigree of the horse, name of the owner, and colors of the rider. In all nominations for handicaps the previous performances are to be given, All jockeys to ride in proper racing costume, and any jockey riding oxcopt in colors entered will be fined 2 sovs. No entry will be accepted unless acco m panied with the amount of entrance money Nor will any entry bo received after tho hoar named under any pretence whatever, No entry will be received for any of the races except upon this condition: That all disputes and objections arising out of the races shall ho decided by a majority of the stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all poiuts connected with tho carrying out of this programmo shall bo final. In easo of a protest, the same must bo lodged with tho secretary within fifteen minutes after the race is run, with a deposit of £2, such deposit to bo forfeittd if the protest bo found trivial or vexatious, All district races District Hurdles included, arc open only to horses within the boundary of the Taueru liver, Hat Point, and Wainatu streams, and owned by bona fide residents for thrco months previous to the datb of these races, Nominations for handicaps, general entries, and acceptances will be received by ' tho seoretary at the Tinui Hotel on the following dates:—Nominations for all handicap races at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 19th; Weights declared (oxcept for Forced Handicap) at the Club Hotel, Masterton, on Saturday. February 23rd, at 9.30 p.m., and published on Monday, February 25th. Acceptances and general entries close on FRIDAY, 29th February, at 7 p.m. Weights for Forced Handicap declared on cotirso after District Handicap is run.
