To ho rim undor the Wairarapa Jockey Club Rules, Tho Saddling Bell will ring at 11.30 eaoh day, and the first race start at 12 o'clock. The time for starting each ovent will he duly posted on tho oouhb affcor each preceding race. do person will be allowed to outer a horso for any raco (hack races excepted) unless ho Bo a subscriber of at least £1 to tho raco fund. Three entries or the public money will bo withheld. No scratching of horses allowed, uuloss vhrough the secretary, and fifteen minutes Mforo the. time of starting. The starter has tho power to place fractious or kicking horses, or disobedient jookoys in any position he thinks necessary to Bccure a fair start, All entries to be made in writing, scaled and addressed to tho secretary, entrance money enclosed,'with name, ago at timo of entry, and pedigreo of the horse, namo of the owner, and colors of the rider. In all nominations for handicaps tho previous performances aro to be giveu. Their decision upon all points connected with tho carrying out of this programme shall bo final. In caso of a protest, the same must be lodged with tho secretary within fifteen minutes after tho raco is run, with a deposit of £'2, such deposit to be forfeited if tho protest be found trivial or vexatious. All district races District Hurdles in- ' cludod, are open only to horses within the boundary of the Taucru river, Hat Point, and Waiaaata streams, and owned by bona fide residents for three mouths previous to tho datb of theso races. Nominations for handicaps, general entries, and acceptances will bo received by tho secretary at the Tinui Hotel on the following dates:—Nominations for all handicap races at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 19th; Weights declared (except for Forced Handicap) at the Club Hotel, Masterton, on Saturday, February 23rd, at 9.30 p.m., and published on Monday, February 25th. .Acceptances and general, entries close on •FRIDAY, 29th February, at 7 p.m. Wnights for Forced Handicap declared on courao aftor District Handicap is run.
