Received January 29,10,5 p,m.— The Orient steamship Cuzco, from Melbourne, December 14, arrived at Plymouth to-day with a cargo of 4000 carcases of frozen mutton. Per Merchant. Shipping and Underwriters' Association:—London, January 28.—Arrived - Ship Dunedin, from Port Chalmers (October 26) with a cargo comprising 8500 carcases of frozen mutton. LONDON, ' January 29. Received January 30, 1.10 a.m.— The ship Simla, which was in collision with the City of Lucknow off the Needles, did not sink after being deserted by the crew, arid is now being towed to Gravesend, A serious catastrophe has occurred on the River Mersey, resulting in the wreck of the steamer Juno, Twentyfive of the passengers'and crew wero drowned, SYDNEY, January 29. The sale of the New Zealand ..Stud and Pedigree Company's yearlings took place yesterday. Nine were sold and three withdrawn. The total realised. Was 2500 ■ guineas. . The highest price paid was 1200 guineas, by Hon. James White, for the Musket —Onyx colt. The principal buyers were Messrs White, Fennelly, Long, and Kelso. The average obtained for the nino horses sold was 277 guineas.
